Our technical innovation Tracy Forestry provides the opportunity to verify the traceability requirements set by the EU Timber Regulation, FSC and PEFC. Tracy’s goal is to create a global standard for origin marking of timber and pulpwood.
Previously, a secure certification system for traceability at the individual log level was lacking. Our technology – Tracy Forestry™ – offers such and thus also meets the UN’s sustainability goals.
Demand for our products is high, not least because our pricing model is advantageous and transparent to current bureaucratic certification systems based on manual handling.
Among other things, we have received an invitation from an African state to report to its Ministry of Forestry how our technology can contribute / solve their problems with illegally harvested forest.
The forests in the northern hemisphere have for a long time been used sustainably by forest companies and family forestry to provide a long-term return. It is very important for these companies to be cost-effective in their operations, ie throughout the entire forest flow, from stump to customer, which constitutes their production chain. Here, digital traceability at log level takes on a partly different meaning compared to tropical forests. It will be a tool to sharpen efficiency and profitability up to new levels.
Our calculation shows that the forest companies through Tracy Forestry ™ can reduce their costs by 5.64 Euro / cubic meter.
